
US-based hotel development and management company NexGen Hotels has acquired Claridge House Chicago for an undisclosed sum.
Located in the Gold Coast Historic District, the 165-room hotel will transition to a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, joining its portfolio of independent hotels, with the rebranding set to take place this summer.
The hotel features guest rooms and suites with residential-inspired décor with amenities such as several dining options, a fitness centre, an in-house spa, and 685ft² of meeting space with audiovisual equipment and technical support.
The hotel is located near various Chicago attractions such as Wrigley Field, 360 Chicago, the Lakefront Trail and Lincoln Park Zoo.
It is also close to a variety of museums, restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues.
NexGen Hotels president Chris Patel said: “We are excited to bring the remarkable Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand to the Gold Coast section of Chicago.

In August 2024, the Illinois-based company acquired The Cole Hotel in Palm Springs, California, US.
The boutique property is managed by the Genuine Hospitality Group from St Louis, Missouri.
